Naruto the Movie: Road to Ninja

Where To Find Barcelona Paintings And Further Sightseeing Attractions

By Jayne Rutledge

Barcelona is one of the most fabulous Spanish cities that you can visit. Whether you have have weeks of vacation available, or only a few days to spare, you will surely find plenty of spectacular attractions to keep you busy. If you are particularly interested in art, there is an abundance of Barcelona paintings to be enjoyed. The several popular art galleries in the city include the Galeria D'Art Manuel Barbie, Galeria Brok and the Francisco Godia Foundation.

Over and above pictures of paint creations, tourists will see many amazing sculptures and items of pottery at the galleries. Hours can be spent just admiring these tremendous works of art. Keep in mind the antique furniture that is also available for purchase at the Galeria Brok. The opening hours of the galleries vary, but most are open six days a week from 09:00 to 20:00. A tourist office can provide more information.

This majestic and historical city can be easily seen by bus, or there are also walking tours that many find fascinating. The walking tours can be booked at the tourist information office, and you will be accompanied by a tour guide. The tours are conducted in English, and usually start at about ten in the morning. The main tourist information office is located in the Placa Catalunya.

If you are not sure which attractions to go to, getting some tickets for the tourist buses are a great idea. They go past all the major attractions in the city, and are 'hop-on and hop-off' buses. This means that when your bus stops at a particular attraction, you can get off and stay for as long as you like. When you are ready to leave, you simply hop on to the next bus that comes past. The buses will run from a certain time in the morning until a certain time in the evening.

Tourists love to stop at Parc Guell, as well as at the other buildings for which Gaudi, a famous architect, is famous. The Parc Guell is a UNESCO world heritage site, and features the Hundred Columns Room down steps nearby the park's entrance. Gaudi is also associated with the Casa Vincens and the La Sagrada Familia.

For animal-lovers, the city boasts a large aquarium and a zoo with a diverse range of animal species. There are sharks among many other sea creatures at the aquarium, as well as a sea life center that has facilities for children. The aquarium is also a rather unique, transparent building. At the zoo, you can meet Snowflake, the only albino gorilla in captivity, along with over 7,000 other animals.

Barcelona's beaches, such as those of Nova Mar Bella, La Barceloneta and Bogatell, are lovely. They stretch for nearly two miles, and have plenty of facilities. Modern attractions also include the Olympic Port, filled with lively entertainment areas, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops. It is built under two huge skyscrapers.

Another two places to visit are the Museo Picasso and the Ramblas de Canaletes. The first-mentioned is a museum that houses some spectacular Barcelona paintings by Picasso, as well as some of his ceramic works. The second is a walkway with kiosks selling newspapers from different countries around the world.
